Ok, When was your last year on the "ROCK" ? and where did you end up graduating at?

I left Kadena in the fall of '85, graduated in '86 from Peoria High School in AZ (or as I called it, Mayberry!) Ran into Frank Torres and his sister Loraine (I hope I spelled that right) while there so it was nice seeing some familiar faces in a place where everyone else had pretty much grown up together. I remember my first day in class at Peoria... when I said I came from Okinawa a girl asked why I didn't look Japanese. lol!

I graduated from Kadena HS June 6, 1984. We were already living out of suitcases in a hotel off base. I was on a plane back to the States June 8, 1984. I've been in Pensacola, Florida since then.

Graduated in Jan '84, went to the ceremony in June with the rest of the class. Left the rock summer of 85 to go back to Maryland & finish university. Moved to New York, East Village then Brooklyn, in the mid-90's, then Toronto in 99. Been in Canada since, although I still work the same job in New York...

Graduated in 86...got my first "real" job at the Class IV and left for college the Jan the following year.

I graduated in Jun 84 and left the island April 86. I then returned for another 3 year tour with my 3 children. Then returned again for a 7 year tour...All three of my children graduated from Kadena also. My son actually graduated 20 years after I did. Thanks to the military my children got to enjoy the same High School and a few teachers also.

My last year on the 'Rock" was 1985, right at the end of my junior year...unfortunately it was because my mom was sick and had to get medical attention in CONUS. I was so looking forward to my senior year at Kadena,and my class ring still says Kadena. I ended up graduating in Albany, Ga.

1991 was my last year there. I graduated at Kadena class of 90.

I graduated in 1985. I was lucky enough to finish all of high school at Kadena High. I started taking college courses at the University of Maryland Asian Division there at Kadena. Moved to Newport News, Virginia December of 1985. I attended the Thomas Nelson Community College in Hampton, Virginia for the spring session of 1986, and then moved to Boise, Idaho in the summer of 1986. Graduated from Boise State University in 1988, and have been here ever since.

I am curious to see if anyone has recent pics of KHS. Also, being that I lived on Camp Lester, I have heard that there have been many changes there. Such as a school and that the lodge is no longer there either. Any pics of that anywhere? I really miss it after 22 years.
