John Liles & I are meeting up this Saturday to check out a new car show & later we'll meet up w/Chika & Dararat to catch up over dinner. I've met John a couple of times already, & we're trying to extend to other Kadena folks who live in Hawaii. It takes timing, but I'm sure we'll eventually gather our mini-reunion here.

I'm very surprised that they've never had a reunion in Hawaii. I'm sure it boils down to cost, but boy, that would be great! I mean, it would be helpful to stimulate the economy, right? ;)

Oh, as for your question: I wa born and raised in Okinawa, I came here for another girl..that didn't work out but I fell in love with the states and made a go for it.
It was hard work but it paid off, (great wife, great kids) Life is good. What more can I ask for.........................Pat

Of course I've heard of Yap. I was born on Guam, lived on Okinawa, now reside in Hawaii, so I know a little about islands in the Pacific! ;)

I followed in my parent's footsteps & got in to Civil Engineering. I'm a traffic engineer, so I'm pretty much the one to blame for all of our mess in Honolulu! ;)
